Show Me The Fridge

Show me the Fridge
It’s all I really think about
As soon as I walk in the door
At Mums house
Show me what is in the fridge
It’s not that I’m hungry
It’s not that I want to cook
It’s just the thing that I do
Always have and always will
It feels good
It feels homely
It’s a ritual that I know
It’s a connection with my old life
And it’s not something I wish to let go
So show me the fridge
Let’s pull up some chairs
Let all the cold air out
And stare at what’s in there
Show me the fridge
I just want to see
I might make a meal
But it’s highly unlikely
It’s just that I really want to see what is what in the Fridge.
