Train Carries Me

One more coming through
Check it, pack it, and write it up
Job is done, clock out now
Grab your coat, out the door, down to the station
On the train, find a seat; look out the window, lost in confusion
Too tired, fall asleep, miss my station home
Train rolls on and carries me into the far districts
Sleeping deeper, dreams coming on
Train crosses the rural plans and the sun sets and stars come out to shine
The moon appears as I dream of candy and grand things
Across the many galaxies and on and on and on miles from home.
